Model 19 veneer care?

The two best uses i've found for typical "furniture polish" are lubricating the sliding door that goes out onto the deck, and restoring the factory shine to ATV and dirt bike plastics.

I've used it on black vinyl covered audio equipment covers........ I think I've used it on black plastic faces, too. I never thought of using it on something mechanical..... seems like it would be too thin.
